HOW LONG WILL MY TONGUE CLEANER LAST?

-The average life span of a Tongue Cleaner is about a year; it can last longer depending on one’s personal use. However, it is recommended for one to change out their Tongue Cleaner every 6 months. 

CAN I USE MY TOOTHBRUSH TO CLEAN MY TONGUE?

-No, one should never use their toothbrush to clean their tongue because doing so will cause one to brush the bacteria back into their mouth.

-One should always scrape off the bacteria on their tongue and out of their mouth, which is the beauty of the Tongue Cleaner design.

IF I SCRAPE MY TONGUE, DO I NEED TO BRUSH MY TEETH?

-Yes, both brushing one's teeth and scraping one’s tongue are necessary to improve oral hygiene.

SHOULD I USE TOOTHPASTE TO SCRAPE MY TONGUE?

-No, one should never use toothpaste to clean their tongue because it is too thick of a substance, which makes it almost impossible to be used effectively as a cleaning product for one’s tongue. 

-Pureline Oralcare has specifically designed the Breath Gel to be used in conjunction with the Tongue Cleaner. The Tongue Cleaner cleans one’s tongue and the Breath Gel offers 4-6 hours of fresh breath.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY TONGUE SCRAPER?

- Cleaning the Tongue Cleaner is easy; simply hold the head of the Tongue Cleaner under a stream of running water and then place it in an area that will allow it to air dry.

- If desired, one may also clean the Tongue Cleaner by dipping it in a sanitizing mouthwash.

DOES THE TONGUE SCRAPER REDUCE THE “GAG” REFLEX?

-Yes, the Tongue Cleaner does reduce “gag” reflex. Compared to a toothbrush, the low flat head of the Tongue Cleaner helps reduce the gag reflex and allows one to scrape further back on their tongue.

-The more one uses the Tongue Cleaner, the easier it will become.

-One with a strong reflex may try scraping their tongue by only using forward sweeping motions. Do not push the Tongue Cleaner back towards one’s throat; instead place it back as far as one is comfortable with and only scrape going forward.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY TONGUE BECOMES IRRITATED OR SENSITIVE?

-If one’s tongue becomes irritated or sensitive, it is advised to reduce the frequency and intensity of their routine. If irritation or sensitivity remains or worsens, one should discontinue use of The Tongue Cleaner until the issue is resolved.
